Unread post by cheeko » Tue Mar 19, 2019 9:01 pm

Here is my Baby

Futr Beta Frame with 24s Running 15KW Power Velocity controller and Mxus 3k

Haven't wound it up yet but easly pushes 8500w and done max of 75kmhr havnt changed flux weaking and i turned amps down to 60amps. I have tourque settings on 10% and still find it hard to not wheelie taking off. Love it controller never gets hot.

Ill probably update to Mid Drive one day

Nice. I am a bit worried about those bicycle rims and tires at 8.5kw though...

Using the 15kW 120V version with a 72V battery and MXUS 3k Turbo reaching about 10kW peak.

She's.. umm... rapid! haha and range is pretty great! at 30mph with no pedalling I predict approx. 35-40 miles

The rough schematics (these changed a little but I ended up not updating the schematic and moved directly to wiring tables for the connectors):

Late stage CAD design with 3D scanned bicycle frame and 3D modelled battery, BMS, controller shelf, controller and contactor.

Ally frame fitting:

Battery pack post-welding:

Battery pack with BMS attached:

Custom spoked wheel (by me) to the MXUS 3kW motor. (I learnt to spoke a wheel the same night I made it haha)

Almost finished product with the carbon side plate removed:
Only change made after this were the dash and big gel saddle.

Looks pretty slick! 10kw on that lighter frame would be flying like a rocket!
